Safe maintenance in ATEX zone 1 with or without a production stop
ROG Habitat offers the solution to safely perform work in areas with (explosion) hazardous substances. Explosion hazardous areas in the industrial sector are referred to as ATEX zones within Europe. Within these ATEX zones, strict regulations apply to both the personnel present and the equipment used. Our Hot Work Habitats make it possible to carry out maintenance, repairs and other work safely even in these zones. Hot Work Habitats in ATEX zone 1
ATEX zone 1 includes areas in which the frequency of gas explosion hazards is between 0.1 and 10% of operating hours. Creating a safe, enclosed work environment is therefore essential. Using the modular Hot Work Habitats makes it possible to quickly and securely seal off part of an installation from the environment. That is because overpressure is created within the habitat, preventing potentially dangerous gases from entering. As a result, it becomes possible to carry out work within the habitat that involves sparks or other ignitions. Examples include welding, grinding, drilling and more!
Automatic shutdown in the event of hazards in the environment
The Hot Work Habitats feature various sensors that are customized to the environment and situation. These are located both inside and outside the habitat. In case of leakage, loss of overpressure, malfunctions or other risks, the power supply is immediately cut off. This prevents ignition and keeps the environment safe in case of contact with explosive materials. The system then triggers both visual and audible alarms to notify personnel and others present.
Safe working in high-risk environments thanks to ROG Habitat. Even without a complete production stop! Curious about the possibilities? Contact us for more information.
